Wishcasting Wednesday

~ I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others
in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction.
Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn
must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion,
and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed.
~ Dalai Lama

What or whom do I wish to make peace with?

Myself.

I have lived long enough to realize...
you can not make anyone, including family members...  see things in a different light.
Unless they are willing!
Willing to open their hearts, allowing love and compassion to fill their soul.

Over the past two months, I have been carrying around a heavy heart.
Honesty... the weight of it all,  had become unbearable.

If I was to light a candle for every hurtful word that was exchanged...
you could supply enough light to fill the city, for everyone to see.

Who wants to keep track of that, anyways?

Wasted time, energy, and space... filling my heart and life up with.
Life is too precious!
I am willing to make peace with myself.
I may not be able to change, the point of view of others...
I can personally change the way if effects me.

Things may not be the way I want them to be... but I have a wishful heart!

  2. I suppose it is right that peace comes from within as we are often unable to change the things around us. I am a great admirer of the Dalai Lama, so wise. Wishing you peace; the peace that you seek!

As you wish for yourself today, so I wish for you as well!

  15. Dear sweet April. I'm so sorry that your heart is heavy. I hope you can unburden yourself of this load that you carry. You're absolutely right, you can't change what others say or do but you can change how your react and how it affects you. I wish you peace with yourself and this situation. As you wish for yourself so I wish for you also.

  16. I'm so sorry to hear you've had a heavy heart April. It is no easy task to change the way you let conflict affect how you feel, at least for me But it can be done and then the sweet freedom...

As you wish for yourself, I too wish for you.

  19. As you wish for yourself, I wish for us both. It sounds like the hurtful feelings you've been dealing with are the same feelings at this end. There are days that I wish I could stick my head in the sand but I keep moving with the hopes that one day all the strife will end. Happy New Year!
