Wishcasting Wednesday

What do you wish for fall?

If winter is slumber, spring is birth, and summer is life...
then autumn rounds out to be reflection.
It's a time of year when the leaves are down,
the harvest is in
and
the perennials are gone.
Mother Earth
just closed up the drapes on another year
and
it is time to reflect on what's come before.
~ Mitchell Burgess
***

I wish to...
Reflect
A time to pause and harvest my own personal garden.
To see what seeds I have sown.
***
Did I produce a garden that reflects who and what I am...
or, did I allow the weeds to take over...

Autumn
A season that tends to slow life down... a quiet time!
Time to breathe...
A time to surround myself with all that consumes me.
To take inventory...
to remove the unwanted and uselessness out!

I wish...
To take in all that Mother Earth has to offer this Autumn.
To allow acceptance...
to be drawn inward so that I can reflect outward, in a creative matter.
***
To see life through the creative eye
and
become more inspired, always!

I am willfully wishing and willing...
to embrace fall
with all my heart!

Happy Autumn!

What Can You Create Spending A Dollar?

Paper- Mache
***
pumpkins

Meet

 ***

Purchase a pack (4-6) of plastic mini pumpkins
from your dollar store.
Create a paste:
1/2 Elmer's Glue
1/2 water
Tear paper towels into strips.
Paste on
Don't forget to add your eyes and nose.
Allow to dry over night!

Apply acrylic paints
Any embellishments can be added.
Have fun!

You can create your own handles if you wish
(using wire)
or...
use the handles the the pumpkins came with.
(I created one of each)

These paper-mache
pumpkins
were so much fun to make!
I am definitely in the mood for
Halloween.

Imagine...
what you can create with a dollar!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Monday's Mosaic

Mosaic
The art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces.
A technique of decorative art; using small, normally rough cubic, stone, glass
or other materials of different colors to create a pattern or picture.
***
My interpretation
of a
Mixed Media Mosaic

What do you get when...
you cut up corrugated cardboard and apply your imagination?

You got it!
Mixed Media Mosaic

By using the 4" x 4"cardboard I had cut previously...
I apply a verity of
techniques and mediums.

The Creative Process...

This is my take on it -  "I am always growing!"

Whether is it taking a chance, believing in myself worthiness, having the courage to step beyond the boundaries, exploring new territories, discovering new challenges, or setting forth to reach as high as the sky! I am growing... my roots are strong.
Wishing you all growth, in your creative process.

Enjoy growing... enjoy your Saturday.
