Sporadic...

around here
there is no denying that life can catch us off guard.
I believe, it is the way we go about handling this, that makes all the difference!
end of season harvest, blackberry jam.
handmade cardboard loom.
housing one of my collage " word & phrase " clippings.
enjoying weaving more than I possibly ever thought I would.
remembering a moment, how blessed I am to be a grandmother. (nana)
love our newest addition to the family, Baby Jack.
thinking about the bravery these succulents take on...
as I shelter myself from the sunless days and long October cold.
the good things in life...
a dirty faced, bright- eyed grandchild, happy to take on the day!
sorting through paper and collage items.
preparing to share some BIG NEWS and changes ahead...
I have come to the crossroads of my life...
excited as I was to move with my Husband to enjoy retirement and live the Island lifestyle;  sometimes in life we come to terms that not everything or everyone, is meant to be at the same place at the same time.
or that what was intended, just didn't come to be...

shortly after the move, I suffered horribly with medical issues with no sign of relief!
the entire time after that I have spent ill.
the climate here is NOT for someone with my medical conditions.
with no relief, support, or compassion from anyone near.
this only made my life more difficult. creating a world, I have NEVER experienced.
unwanted. unloved. feeling of guilt, for being sick.
EXASPERATED...
there was no room for healing- mentally, physically or spiritually.

then I realized this, I had come to the crossroads of my life...
it needed my full attention, to take a step back and realize this was a serious.
what took place after this, I promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel.
there is more to share and yes... life challenges us.
I have made some HUGE steps forward, just you wait and see...

Life is good!

birth of a miracle...

meet Jack
our newest member of the family...
9 LBS. 4 OZ. 19" Long
Jack Emilio - named after two very important men in our family.
My father... Her Brother.
Here is my daughter after 13 hours in labor.
I think she looks amazing!
Little Jack, we are all so blessed to have you with us, to be a part of the family,
and to celebrate the joy of life in the presence of God.
I could hardly wait to hold him!
A dear friend gifted me with her talents, Veronica J. Fortune
and drew this portrait of the two of us.
This grandmother ( Nana ) is completely in love!!
I thought becoming a Mother was the best thing in the world,
until I became a Grandmother.
Blessed beyond words...
I thank God everyday for BOTH my grand-babies.
I also have been working with fiber art.
A little curious about this style & movement of art.
Before I go out and purchase a real loom of any kind, thought I would dab in the art first.
I created this handmade cardboard loom, used baker's twine, and then decided to house one of my collage " word & phrase " clippings...
Enjoying the process.
I have created several other weaves using different fibers, twine, and wire...
I see a loom in the near future.
celebrating life, new beginnings, and change...
