Rambling Artist...

Yes, I know...
I have talked about this before, posted pictures on my creations,
and have given my thoughts and ideas on the subject.
With only a week left, before Easter,
there is still many artful creations to be crafted.
That means more eggs too!
***
I know that decorating eggs and chocolate bunnies are a big custom to many.
Don't get me wrong, all of this is very fun.
I do enjoy
celebrating Easter with family,
participating in the joy of coloring eggs,
egg hunts
and
eating chocolate bunnies.
What could be better?
***
Personally, I find Easter to be one of my favorite holidays to celebrate!
Also known as Resurrection Day.
Easter marks the end of Lent.
In my religious beliefs, I have such a great passion for what it stands for.
This day, holds a very deep and spiritual meaning to me.

Now...
back to the making of art and crafts!
Egg Carton Book

Yes, you are right...
this isn't the same color egg carton as the previous picture, I posted.
That is because...
before I could get photos of the completed book project
my neighbor dropped by, fell in love with the book,
and had to purchase it as a gift for someone special.
How wonderful is that?!

There I was...
off the create another egg carton book.
Excited to show you all the finished art project, as promised!

I did add a painted trim to the pages,
slipped in a few wax paper sheets, telephone pages,
and corrugated cardboard as well.

Tied scrap ribbons, yarn, shoe laces, string, window screen, and more...
to the ring binders.

There you have it!

Altered Corrugated Cardboard
Eggs

 I used corrugated cardboard,
scrap papers, a printed-paper napkin, acrylic paint, and UHU glue.
Sized them up to be used as Easter cards.
What fun to create.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Wishcasting Wednesday

Doubt yourself and you doubt everything you see.
Judge yourself and you see judges everywhere.
But if you listen to the sound of your own voice,
you can rise above doubt and judgement.
You can see forever.
NANCY LOPEZ

What do you wish to rise above?
Doubt
I do not need to be reminded of my limitations.
My body reminds me each and everyday!
The definition of chronic I have full knowledge of...
The meaning of illness I alone, battle with...
Pain, I have taken on, a new respect for.
***
I live with a chronic illness, a battle, which I take on.
One day at a time, I tell myself.
Slow it down, if I need to.
Love and respect myself, knowing I am still me.
 Never losing sight...
who I am and what I am capable of.
This illness is what I have, not who I am!

I do not need doubt interfering with my life.
A subtle hint from others, explaining to me...
I am not capable of certain things anymore.
If I wish to step beyond my own boundaries, so be it.
***
Take a hundred of those disbeliefs,
to the one belief I have for myself...  it out weighs a ton!

How about you...
wish here

Have a wishful Wednesday!

Think Recyclable!

Yes...
I tend to get overly excited about creating something from reusable materials.
 I know...
it is an unusual use for an egg carton.

Looking over a ton of DIY projects, tutorials, and endless videos...
I narrowed it down to this one in particular.
I was absolutely thrilled, to how this craft is turning out!
Take in to mind... I made a few adjustments,
wanting to work with supplies and materials I already had available.

Today, I wish to share it along with you.

I am delighted to add this one to my bookshelf!!
** Egg Carton Book **

40 pages thick!

I am feeling this still needs a little more detail, so the project is not completed.
Thinking of adding a painted trim around the edges of the paper.
I will post future pictures of the book.

Also wishing to add some pockets to the pages.
Mixing in some scrap papers,
giving this a real look of recyclable materials.
Can not wait to see the end result!

It is amazing what we can do... when we imagine it!
Happy Monday to you.

With Spring in full swing now... what better theme!

I decided
that if I could paint that flower in a huge scale,
you could not ignore its beauty.

Altered Rolodex Cards

Fun and relaxing...
I thought it would be delightful to use the zentangle technique,
to create a background, for my Rolodex cards.
A way to provide fun feeling to Spring!!

What do you think...?
Are these fun or what?!

Do you zentangle too?
Happy Saturday.
