Ferry Ride

Coupeville to Port Townsend, WA.

We got to ride our one of Washington's newest

ferry boats, just recently built.

And... away we went!

Clear skies and blue sea, what a beautiful day.

Port Townsend, WA.

Such a beautiful old town.

I could see myself will one on these...

very "artsy".

I thought these two sculptures were 

interesting, creative, and adorable.

Love all these old buildings.

to soothe the storm that lives within me.
Tasks
To complete each task...
one day at a time.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed...
causing stress to cloud my mind.
Start the day
I want to raise each morning,
starting my day off clam.
Having a quiet cup of coffee while watching the sunrise.

How I wish to enjoy such simple pleasures in life...

I wasn't all that impressed with the art store.

It was more a gift shop.

I will definitely need to find me an art store to shop at if...

 I am going to be moving up here!

I did pick me up a sketch book.

Update

Even tho, I am out of the studio...

It is impossible

I have found it almost impossible

  not to want to  

create some art

post pictures

keep in touch with my followers

visit the sites and blogs I adore

share my vacation... my life.

In the end...

I love that I can say, "I'm an artist!"

Yes...

I gave up my dead-end jobs...

worked hard at making a living.

I walked around like a zombie...

being numb as a way of survival.

Became an Art Teacher...

taught others, through the years

 The 7-Elements of Art...

and

loved every minute of it!

Then...

I made my 2nd 

biggest decision

in my career.

Decided to...

leave the classroom

say goodbye to my students

and 

work on me!

Nurture my creative soul.

Take a walk on 

the wild side... as scary as it may be,

and invest in myself.

Believe in myself 

and 

my artistic abilities.

To grow...

 to be challenged in my skills...

just as my students were.

To be confident...

this is who I am

and where I need to be

in my life.

 To share my talents...

with like-mined others

and

to live the rest of my life out...

As an artist.

Yesterday's Run Through Town

Coupeville, WA.

Such a lovely day...

to go for a run on the Island.

The air is fresh and clean...

whether is great...

(mid-70's)

and

the sea is just below my feet!

Look at these colorful homes along the side of the pier 

in 

Old Town Coupeville.

Once the fog rolled back...

the Island is ever so beautiful!

So, I decided to go on a run.

Coming for the city...

I've never seen so many trees!

Sweet and simple life...

People are very artistic on the island.

fresh berries, right off the vine!

Of course...

a beautiful sunset to end a wonderful day!

Today we are off to 

Casey's Crafts

(art store)

They have a full range of art and craft supplies

and 

 art classes for kids/adults.

I am pretty excited to visit this store!

Right next to this art store is a hardware store...

so my husband can go do his own thing.

And I... 

can take my time looking at all

the "eye candy" available here!

Hit The Highway

Road Trip...

Went through Oregon...

Spent the night in 

Grants Pass.

I would of thought leaving California...

we left the heat and sun behind, I was wrong!

Very hot! 

The wind was blowing dry, hot air around...

it didn't make it very comfortable

for our dog a long the way.

We made it to our destination!

Now

onto the ferry boat...

and

 away to the island we go!

Now to relax!
