Sketchbooks and Journals

:: a pile to treasure ::
A personal pile of mine.
 A stack of stories in my studio.
A collection of sorts... some handmade, hand-bound, altered, and recycled.
 Honestly, these art journals and sketchbooks are hard to pack away...
 They have become a part of me, a part of my studio, a part of my "why".
You know... those days when your inner critic tells you,
"why do you bother making art anyways ?"
This is when, I can open anyone of these books up and be reminded...
and fall in love all over again!
I think these can wait, just a little awhile longer,
before I pack them away to our new place.

Our journals are such a part of us, don't you think ?

  3. Delightful! Just look at all the creativity stacked there! Though I don't have as many journals yet, I do get pleasure just looking at them - It's so much fun to flip through them and remember some of the how and why of the pages you made. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Ah yes, I have stacks like that! I see every journal as a chapter of the book of my life. All of them together represent me. I could never let them go.
