Wishcasting Wednesday- What is your money wish?

You can only become truly accomplished at something you love.
Don't make money your goal.
Instead, pursue the things you love doing,
and
then do them so well that people
can't take their eyes off you.
~Maya Angelou

The money wish...
I had a hard time answering this wish.
I believe money is over rated.
Honestly I do!
Yes...
I know that might sound crazy.
I know we need it to get by...
that is logical.

My only wish is...
money only serve as a tool in our lives!
That it has no influence on our...
daily life
personal happiness
self- confidence
dreams & goals
health
and
relationships.
A total sense of freedom!
from financial burden.
Not from our responsibilities, of course.
But, to lift that heavy weight off the shoulders...
that you are not valued by what you have saved...
But, who you have become!

Here's what would be pitiful,
if your income grew and you didn't."

  1. Very well put. I have not answered yet because this one is more difficult for me than others. I too see it as a tool to be used for good but not something that determines who we are or what we can accomplish.
As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.

  2. Money is important, because if you don't have enough to live from, it makes life very difficult. But we should be contented with enough and not always concerned with getting more and more. Helath, freedom, creativity and contentment are worth more! Valerie

  3. It's been so interesting to see how people respond to this prompt!! I love money because it enables me to give, to live, and to thrive! Personally, I'm not a 'just enough to get by' person because I believe we're created for ABUNDANCE.

My views are shaped very much by the idea that the very best thing I can do to help the poor, is not to be poor. LOL :)

Like you, I believe that money is a tool..and so, as you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.

  4. Very nice thinking! The only wish I have is the health... And also I have a small wish for more money, so I could visit my family more often ;) Does that makes me a selfish materialist?

  6. Ditto what Grace said - I love money because of the good it can do! And I love freedom, joy, love more... Great wish. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also. x

  12. I agree with every one! I love having money to spend on others as well as my self. I give much away (as much as I can) To be dept free would be indeed a wonderful lift.

But I also agree that money shouldn't dictate who you are. I would be the same if not a little better with much money because to give where I can't now and actually see a difference would really make me happy. And never to have to worry about money (bills mortgage etc) would relive lots of stress)

I live with in my budget and have for the last 10yrs and I do feel so much happier.

  14. Very true. Money really only gives you the chance to forget about money.

As you intend for yourself (in all your desires) I too am aligned with you
