Fruitcake Fringy!

 Christmas Fruitcake Art Project

In today’s world
these kiddos did not have a clue what a fruitcake is…
Matter of fact, none have ever experienced eating one.
 I thought “tis the season for fruitcake!”
Christmas is a perfect time of the year.
For this art project, I had a small discussion on
“The History Of Fruitcake”.
Then away we when to the drawing tables
to create a delightful fruitcake.

Materials:
Drawing paper
Sharpie (black)
Oil pastel (brown)
Markers (red, green, yellow, pink)

Song of the Sea...

mixed-media
A storm of blue hues piled on top of collected vintage papers,
which overlapped and got washed up onto shore... with a charcoal illustration.

Sketching

:: my sketchbook ::
Here are some of my sketches out of my sketchbook.
I am thrilled to announce... " I am half way through the challenge! "

:: 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge ::
 Let me share with you, what I have discovered so far -
** I can sketch an object in less time, then when I started.
** I look for shapes, shading, and details.
** none of them are perfect.
**  a few of these drawings I think, belong right in the trash.
**  I am excited to document an event; to draw a quick sketch.
** a pocket size sketchbook works well for me; goes everywhere.
** I am falling in love with my sketchbook.
"To draw is to make a shape and movement in time."

A Charcoal Incident...

:: vintage BINGO card ::
What I went to grab for, was my graphite pencil... ended up being charcoal instead.
Some incidents are meant to be!
 What is character but the determination of incident?
What is incident but the illustration of character?
