How about a little tea with your mail...??

mail art envelope- full of mixed media goodness!
theme tea cups & tiara's
This month The Team from Altered Pages is promoting two incredible sites,
I wish to share- unrulypaperarts.com and leakyshedstudio.com.
We were asked to create mail art with this theme.
Exciting!
Tea. Mail. Art.
I'm in... now onto the art part. Enjoy.
Layers of distressed inks, acrylic paint, stamping, charcoal pencil shading, watercolor, wash tape, and collage elements... these envelopes were up through the test.
Held up well and made it through the entire process.
FUN. FUN. FUN.
I had an amazing time creating these mail art pieces.
Honestly... can you find ANYTHING more exciting than mail art?

~ In the end, throwing together some yummy layers of texture using paints, stamps,

and of coarse my favorite collage sheets from alteredpages.com makes any day, a great day for tea!

enjoy

Mail-Art... send thoughtfulness

:: altered envelopes ::
I absolutely love altering anything...
These envelopes were screaming, "COLOR ME!"

materials:
envelope
collage papers
acrylic paints
ink pens
stencil ( personal design )
rubbed stamp - paperbagstudios.com

Thought I would share some of my altered envelopes with you.
These are created for a swap I am hosting
come play along with us!
Or, simply enjoy creating your own altered envelopes to send out.
Give to someone who would be delighted to receive.

We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think.
Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.

We all share a common interest.
We are passionate about our art!
We are not afraid to share it among friends.
To get excited and fully expose ourself.

Words just can not express, how powerful it is, to pass along...
our talents
 inspiration
and
the love that is involved in such a process.
It is there.
I am absolutely delighted to be apart of it!!
THANK YOU

Journal Spread

:: "omne trium perfectum" ::
rule of three
The best things in life come in threes, like friends, dreams, and memories.
I was gifted with this beautiful tag and a personalized envelope
created by Karenann Young .
I decided to celebrate our friendship, and create this art journal spread.

:: A gentle reminder ::
we should be thankful for those, who touch our lives, in a special way!

A Recap

Remove the clutter... defeat the hoarder.
Such a relief.

It was a great success...
I spent most of the weekend and Monday going through piles of paper.

I received a huge response, from all who were interested,
in receiving some "stash from my studio".

I am delighted to share!
Envelopes are being stuffed and sent out all this week.
Thank you.
There is nothing more exciting than receiving "artful" goodies in the mail.

Long over-due... a BIG THANK YOU!
A Mail-Art applause.

I have been gifted by the talents of my "artsy" friends!
A thoughtful note...
 just because...
You are our friend, and thought of often.
