Cardboard Fix

When it comes to cardboard...
you can call me
  A
"cardboard-aholic"

I won't take it offensively at all!
** Cardboard Creature Bowl **
This project was inspired by
Mark Montano

The project was too cute and creative to pass up!
Reading about this in his latest book
BIG ASS BOOK OF CRAFTS- 2
Using cardboard... was all I needed to get started!
WHAT FUN!!!
I had, creating this paper-mache bowl.

First
Download the templet (Cardboard Creature Bowl)
I used one of these boxes (I had laying around)
Cut, tape, and glue together.
Second
Cut out pieces of a phone book (white pages)
Glue to cardboard shaped bowl
(set aside to dry)

Third
Search for sea creature image.
Image was downloaded from http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com
Honestly...
When I first saw this image, I wasn't to sure about it.
I am not really a big fan of the Octopus.

Once I started to glue the image to the paper-mache bowl...
It began to make sense to me, why this image was used for the project.
The octopuses tentacles found there place!

I decided then... Mr. Octopus wasn't all that bad after all.

In the end... I got my fix.
I got to create something with cardboard, and I am very happy!

Happy Thursday to you!

  6. I LOVE this! I'm glad you took the leap with the octopus and were happy with it. Hmm...maybe I could make a mini bowl for all those mini-letters I just got (and we all know I won't keep organized). Thanks so much April! xoxo
