I was sidetracked...
Didn't stay focused on what I was wishing to accomplish for the day...
I am a sucker for three things:
* Creating artful things out of reusable items. (recycle, reuse, recreate)
* Books of any kind! (book hoarder)
* Anything colorful (makes me happy)
Mini Journal
Created from recycled greeting cards.
Over the weekend, as I was visiting my favorite blogs...
I came across this fantastic video
on using your old greeting cards to create a mini journal.
Thank you

I fell in love with this idea... so clever.
It literally took me minutes to make and there was no sewing involved!
Enjoy watching Jenny's video tutorials
Out of just a few cards
I was able to make this mini journal.
This will be used in my BOD journal.

Happy Monday!
Really clever idea!! Happy Creating, April:)

Great idea and you made a beautiful one. I love all these simple projects that are out there.
ReplyDeleteI watched those videos over the weekend and loved them. You made a great little book...the bright colors are great.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch the video in a minute! Came across this and wanted to share it with you. I'm just going to paste what I put on my blog so I don't have to re-type it all.
ReplyDeleteCame across a really neat You Tube video about making a "Junque Journal". Here is the link.

It's so funny because at the beginning of the year, I finally decided that I'm NOT a journal girl. It just didn't "fit" me at all. Now I'm working on two journals and really having a ball! The "Book Of Days" is for every day and I'm not going to be able to use one book for the whole year. I'm half way through it already! Will have to hit the Dollar store for another book soon!!! Then I find this Junque journal. Perfect because I can do it as I please. I even had on hand all the stuff I need for it. Anyways, fun stuff for me!!! Keeps my mind off the dentist tomorrow!!!
Got my new glasses yesterday. Far away stuff looks so clear. Reading part of it, a bit fuzzy and I still have to read about 12" from my face. Nothing goes right with me with the medical stuff. Oh well, I'm not dwelling on it. Time to have fun after I wash the towels and clothes and stuff. Nice to look forward to something fun!!!!!!!!!
I used to make all sorts of journals out of various materials and different sizes. Did you know, with a piece of paper over it, you can iron layers of plastic grocery bags together and then cut them to size for covers? Great recycle project!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone, so happy to share!
ReplyDeleteThese were very fun to create, love it :]
Jane, this sound so interesting... is there a DIY Link??
